Catalogue Entry

This letter was written by Suda Kokuta and addressed to Mrs. Koyama Mihoko, founder of the Miho Museum. The text thanking the recipient for attending the one‐man show being held at the Mitsukoshi Department Store is a reproduced text, but the painting was created here by hand. The red and white camellias are reminiscent of the flowers offered on the occasion of the Omizutori ceremony held by the Shunie at Todaiji temple.
