この拓本は古陽洞北壁第１層、第３龕のものであり、横に居並ぶ仏、菩薩像のなかには、顔の表情や衣文の細かな線刻までは施されず、シルエットの状態のままで放置されたものが見受けられる。これは、この仏龕の制作が途中で中断されたことを示している。古陽洞の第３充実期にあたる。

This rubbing is taken from the 3rd niche in the 1st level of the north wall of the Guyangdong Cave, and shows an array of Buddha and Bodhisattva images carved in silhouette form without the expected detailed linear depiction of facial features or drapery forms. This carving shows that work on this niche was interrupted. This niche lintel dates from the 3rd period of activity in the Guyangdong Cave.
